How have you been? The beginning of the year has been a bit bumpy for some of us, but we are all doing much better and are in good spirits. We hope that you have had a nice year so far.  We are looking forward to the warm days ahead. Next month, Dennis and I will get an advanced preview on our trip to sunny Southern California.  We will both be attending the SW Test Workshop, in Rancho Bernardo, California.

As for this month, we will be out of the office on May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.  We hope you all enjoy the long weekend if you have it off.

This will be our 5th year that we have attended SW Test Workshop.  It is a great conference that offers some educational technical presentations, as well as an opportunity to meet and get reacquainted with people in our industry.  We really look forward to getting to know people and letting them know how Prober.com can help improve their business.

We hope that if you are attending SW Test, you will come by our booth and say “hello”.  We will be at booth #41. We will be joined by our ERS partners from Germany and our Semics Partner from Kanematsu USA. Come and chat about thermal chucks, new probers and upgrading your test tools.

We are happy to announce that Prober.com is now the Pacific NW representative for Semics probers.  In addition to the refurbished tools that we sell, we will also have brand new Semics probers available as well.

Their Opus 3 prober is very flexible, having different loading options available.  It can test 6″, 8″ and 12″ wafers with ±1.5µm accuracy. It has very efficient automatic card changer capabilities, as well as many high performance options. These are impressive tools, and we are looking forward to being able to offer them as another option for our customers.

 

Getting the Right Temperature

If your needs have changed and you need to test at hot or cold temperatures that your machine cannot accommodate, give us a call. We can discuss various thermal chucks that will help you reach the temperatures you need to test at.  As certified reps for ERS, we can get an AirCool system that can get you to temperatures as low as -55C.  Their non liquid cooling system eliminates any leaking problems you might have with a liquid cooling system.  It also eliminates the cost of the liquid, as well as the risk of exposure to the toxic chemicals. 

 

Service Calls

If you run into a problem, and can’t get your prober to work, give us a call.  One of our engineers will walk you through some possible solutions.  If you are local, our engineer can go to your site and take a look at your tool and fix the problem.  If it is a bad board, we have many replacement boards.  We will do our best to get you up and running as quickly as possible.

 

Parts For Your Probers
We consistently have a comprehensive inventory of spare parts for various units.  We can help swap out chucks, manipulators, and whatever else you might need.  We have boards, microscopes, wires, and switches. If there is something you need, and aren’t sure if we have it, don’t hesitate to ask.  We also have access to parts even if we don’t have them on hand.  We will even match the price of parts quoted by any other suppliers.  With Prober.com, you can be sure you are always getting the best value.
