Prober.com Customer,

The wind has been blowing all the lovely fall leaves around lately, and the temperatures are steadily dropping.  We have been enjoying the lovely autumn colors, and getting ready for Halloween! I went to the pumpkin patch on what was probably the stormiest day of the month.  I thought I would share a picture from my trip so you can enjoy it without all the mud that I got to trudge through.

Happy Halloween from all of us at Prober.com
Along with getting ready for upcoming holidays, we have been busy installing probers and shipping spare parts for repairs.  We like it when our customers keep us busy and we can keep working to help them.  Recently, we also had a meeting with a representative from Seiken Co.  We found their product very interesting, and wanted to give our customers the information so that they have access to cutting edge technology to meet their testing needs.

Partnership with Seiken Company

We would like to share our latest partnership with our customers and colleagues.  We are beginning to work with Seiken Company of Japan, so we are excited to be able to offer state of the art probe cards, specialty spring probes, and POGO pins for a variety of application in high volume and engineering situations.

The Seiken company has its own manufacturing facility in Nagano, Japan, where all of their spring pin products are manufactured. There are multiple types available for most all applications as well as test sockets, single and multi-chip testing, and wafer level burn in.

The vertical probe card for wafer level testing uses a unique spring probe design manufactured by Seiken.  With probe tips of 70um and pitches of 150um in production and 110um in engineering, this allows for vertical probe card manufacture of probe cards with a pin count up to 6000 pins in a 200mm by 200mm pin area.

Probe tip shapes, material, and surface finishes are selectable depending on DUT requirements.

Please contact us if you have any needs or would like to investigate options for your test floor.

Let Us Help You With That
As always, we have a comprehensive stock of parts for various probers, but we also have some great testers on hand at the moment.  We have UF 200s, 200ALs, 190A, and an APM90.  We can retrofit chucks and OCRs for these models to accommodate your testing needs. If your needs have changed and you need to test at hot or cold temperatures that your machine cannot accommodate, give us a call. We can discuss various thermal chucks that will help you reach the temperatures you need to test at.  As certified reps for ERS, we can get an AirCool system that can get you to temperatures as low as -55C.  Their non liquid cooling system eliminates any leaking problems you might have with a liquid cooling system.  It also eliminates the cost of the liquid, as well as the risk of exposure to the toxic chemicals.

Servicing Your Probers
If you run into a problem, and can’t get your prober to work, give us a call.  One of our engineers will walk you through some possible solutions.  If you are local, our engineer can go to your site and take a look at your tool and fix the problem.  If it is a bad board, we have many replacement boards.  We will do our best to get you up and running as quickly as possible.

Parts For Your Probers
We consistently have a comprehensive inventory of spare parts for various units.  We can help swap out chucks, manipulators, and whatever else you might need.  We have boards, microscopes, wires, and switches. If there is something you need, and aren’t sure if we have it, don’t hesitate to ask.  We also have access to parts even if we don’t have them on hand.  We will even match the price of parts quoted by any other suppliers.  With Prober.com, you can be sure you are always getting the best value.

Ensure accuracy in testing with the various options available.  We can help you integrate OCRs or thermal chucks into your existing units or provide additional probers to expand your operations’ capacity. Visit our website or email us for availability of parts and quotes.
Sincerely,

Jacqueline Bonciolini
